Dried Fish

Dried fish is a versatile food option that can be added to meals when one wants a change from meat and fish. Back then dried fish was a popular dish which was a method of preserving fish. It is a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. It is also rich in calcium and phosphorus and a good source of minerals, such as iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium.


  • 1 cup dried fish
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red chilli, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup salt


  1. Heat a pan and add the oil.
  2. Add the dried fish and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the onions, chilli, paprika, lemon juice and salt.
  4. Stir fry until the onions are translucent.
  5. Remove from heat and serve.
